Overview
Sekolah Kedinasan refers to Indonesia's official civil-service vocational colleges (such as those training future employees of the finance ministry, statistics agency, immigration, and other government bodies), whose intake is coordinated nationally through the SSCASN portal operated by BKN (Badan Kepegawaian Negara), alongside each individual institution's own entrance requirements.

Who can apply
Eligibility (age range, educational qualification, health and other requirements) is set separately by each participating Sekolah Kedinasan, published alongside the national intake announcement; applicants generally must be Indonesian citizens within the age range and educational level set for that institution's programme.
Exam pattern
Selection runs in stages: online registration and administrative selection through SSCASN; a Seleksi Kompetensi Dasar (SKD), using the same Computer Assisted Test (CAT) format and TWK/TIU/TKP sections as other national civil-service selection; and further selection stages specific to each institution, which can include an academic potential test, an English-language test, a physical fitness test, physical and mental health screening, and interviews.
Important dates
For the 2026 intake, the registration window on SSCASN opened on 18 August 2026, with administrative selection from 18 August to 1 September 2026, SKD (CAT) held from 22 September to 7 October 2026, and further institution-specific selection following from 11 to 28 October 2026 ahead of the final announcement.
How to apply
Registration is online only, through the SSCASN portal, where candidates create an account, select the Sekolah Kedinasan and programme they wish to apply for, and upload required documents within the published registration window.
After the exam
Candidates who pass all stages and are accepted enrol in the chosen Sekolah Kedinasan, generally with a service bond requiring them to work in the relevant government agency for a set period after graduation.
Preparation tips
Because SKD uses the same CAT format as general CPNS selection, SKD preparation (TWK, TIU, TKP mock tests) transfers across different Sekolah Kedinasan applications, while institution-specific stages like the academic potential test, English test and physical/health screening need separate, targeted preparation specific to the chosen institution.
Is admission to all Sekolah Kedinasan coordinated through one national portal?
Registration and the SKD (CAT) stage run through the national SSCASN portal, though further selection stages are set individually by each institution.
Does Sekolah Kedinasan use the same SKD test as CPNS?
Yes, the SKD stage uses the same Computer Assisted Test format and TWK/TIU/TKP sections used in general CPNS selection.
