Privacy Policy
Last updated 26 September 2026
This policy explains what information Padhantu collects, why, and what choices you have. We aim to collect as little as we need to run and improve the service.
Who we are
For privacy questions, email padhantuofficial@gmail.com or see Contact.
What we collect
- Account details — when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture.
- Usage data — pages you view and actions you take, along with device, browser, and connection information. To measure usage reliably and recognise returning visits, we also generate a device/browser identifier (a technique known as fingerprinting).
- Feedback you send — the message you submit and the page it relates to, so we can act on it.
- Purchase records — if you buy a plan or Booster, we store the payment reference, the payment method type (for example UPI or card) and your plan status. We do not receive or store your card, UPI or bank details.
- Country — to show prices in the right currency, we look up the country of your IP address in an offline database. We keep only the country, and only the one recorded when you create your account; the IP address itself is not stored for this.
How we use it
- To provide the service and keep you signed in.
- To remember preferences you set.
- To understand usage, fix problems, and improve content and features.
- To respond to feedback and support requests.
What we don’t do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not ask for passwords or sensitive documents — signing in is handled entirely by Google. Card and UPI details are entered with Razorpay, never stored by Padhantu.
Sharing
We use trusted service providers to run the site — for example Google for sign-in and analytics tooling to measure usage. They process data only on our behalf. Payments are processed by Razorpay, as described below. We may also disclose information where required by law.
Payments
Payments are processed by Razorpay. When you pay, Razorpay receives your payment details and handles them under its own privacy policy. Your card, UPI and bank details stay with Razorpay. Padhantu stores only the payment reference, the method type and your plan status, so we can activate your access and handle refunds (see our Cancellation and Refund Policy).
Cookies and local storage
We use cookies and your browser’s local storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure usage. As noted above, we also generate a device/browser identifier for analytics. You can clear cookies and local storage through your browser settings, though some features may then stop working.
When you like a blog post we store a one-way device code so each device counts once. Blog view counts keep no personal data.
Speaking test recordings
If you take an IELTS Speaking practice test, we record your voice. Recordings are made only when you start a speaking test. They are stored privately and are readable only by the account that made them. They are sent to Google’s Gemini API for assessment, and are retained until you ask us to delete them. We ask for your consent before your first speaking test, and that consent applies to every speaking test you take on your account afterwards.
Your choices
You can sign out at any time, and you can request that we delete your account data by contacting us. Because sign-in is via Google, you can also manage the app’s access from your Google account settings.
Children
Padhantu is intended for students preparing for exams. If you are under the age at which you can consent in your country, please use the service with a parent or guardian’s involvement.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll revise the date above when we do.
