Overview
The Inter Services Selection Board (ISSB) is the military selection organisation for the Bangladesh Armed Forces, covering the Army, Navy and Air Force. Since it was set up, its main job has been selecting candidates for the Bangladesh Armed Forces. After independence the Army formed its own Army Selection Board in 1974, while Navy and Air Force candidates were selected by separate boards at their service headquarters. The ISSB was established in 1976 by merging these boards.
ISSB sits in Dhaka Cantonment under the Ministry of Defence. Its official website could not be read when this page was reviewed, so this page rests on a single Wikipedia article and does not cover test formats, stages or eligibility. Each service's recruitment circular sets the entry requirements and tells candidates when to report to ISSB.
Note
For the Army's regular commission route, see the BMA Long Course page.
