Overview

Badan Nasional Sertifikasi Profesi (BNSP), Indonesia's National Professional Certification Agency, is an independent body set up to carry out work competency certification. Under Government Regulation 10 of 2018 (Article 3) its task is work competency certification, and its functions include running and developing the national certification system, supervising it, developing national and international recognition of Indonesian competency certification, and running an integrated certification data system. BNSP is not a single exam; the schemes are run through professional certification bodies (LSP).

How to apply

Candidates take a competency certification scheme through an LSP. The BNSP site lists LSPs by province, provides a competency certification schedule and a certificate-checking service, and says new LSPs are set up through a process of requirements consultation, document preparation, completeness verification and licensing. Candidates should check the schedule and the scheme details with the LSP concerned.

After the exam

BNSP offers a certificate-checking service on its site, and a relicensing service. Contact details and the call centre are on the BNSP services page.
