CRMEF

Overview

Les Centres Régionaux des Métiers de l'Éducation et de la Formation (CRMEF) are Morocco's regional teacher-training centres, responsible for the initial professional training of future teachers before they enter public school service. Admission is through a competitive entrance exam (concours d'accès) run separately by each regional centre under the national Ministry of National Education's framework.

Who can apply

Applicants generally need a Licence (bachelor's-level) degree or equivalent in a field relevant to the teaching specialism applied for, along with meeting any age limit and other eligibility requirements published in that year's concours announcement for the specific regional centre and specialism.

Exam pattern

The concours typically includes a written test on subject knowledge relevant to the specialism (and, for primary-level entry, general pedagogical and cultural knowledge), followed by an oral interview for candidates who pass the written stage.

How to apply

Applications are submitted online through the Ministry's dedicated concours platform during the registration window announced for that year's CRMEF intake, with candidates selecting a specific regional centre and teaching specialism.

After the exam

Candidates admitted to a CRMEF complete a period of professional training (combining coursework and classroom practice) before being appointed as teachers in Morocco's public education system.

Preparation tips

Because the written test content is tied to the specific teaching specialism and level (primary or secondary, and subject) applied for, reviewing the specific specialism's past concours papers and the Ministry's published curriculum reference, rather than generic preparation, is the standard approach.
