Overview

The Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA) is a Tanzanian authority under the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. It oversees vocational training and runs training centres in zones across the country.

Training routes

The VETA site lists these ways of delivering training: a competency-based (CBET) approach, institutional-based training, a recognition of prior learning (RPL) programme, a dual apprenticeship programme, and the IMTT, INTEP and SEP programmes. It also lists short courses and long courses.

Results and admissions

VETA posts exam results by season. In 2026 it announced results of the CBA, apprenticeship and NABE exams for the June 2026 season, and lists of people selected for VETA level three. Admission announcements are published on the same site.

Note

Entry requirements, level structure and fees were not stated on the pages read. Check the VETA site or a VETA centre.
