Levels or stages
The Center's pages name three grades: 甲級 (Grade A), 乙級 (Grade B) and 丙級 (Grade C). Which grades exist depends on the trade.
Exam pattern
The national test has two parts: a written test (學科) and a practical test (術科). Candidates may apply for exemption from the written or practical part in some cases, set out on the Center's exemption page (報檢免試學科或術科).
How to apply
Registration for the national test is online. The Center publishes a test prospectus (全國檢定簡章), a page on the application process and fees (技能檢定報檢流程與費用), and subsidy rules for specific groups. Past questions, reference material and a score lookup are also on the site.
