Overview
The Institute of Technical Education (ITE) is a Singapore public institution for technical and vocational education. Its full-time courses lead to Nitec and Higher Nitec qualifications. ITE also offers diplomas and part-time courses.
Levels or stages
Higher Nitec: a 2-year course. ITE's progression page lists it for students with GCE O-Level results and for Nitec graduates.
Technical Diploma and Work-Study Diploma: routes for Nitec and Higher Nitec graduates who want to progress further.
How to apply
ITE publishes a course finder and an apply page for its courses. ITE graduates or former students who want to be admitted to another course may apply one year after graduation, according to the ITE site in 2026. Entry requirements for each course are on the course pages, which this page does not reproduce.
