FAQs
What is the difference between practical and performance grades?
Practical grades are assessed face to face by an examiner. Performance grades use a digital, video-based format at the same grade levels.
Do I need to pass theory before taking higher practical grades?
ABRSM requires a theory pass (or equivalent) at Grade 5 level before a candidate can be awarded Grade 6, 7 or 8 in most practical subjects.
