Overview

The Czech driving licence exam takes place at the municipal authority after training at a driving school. It has a computer-based theory test (eTesty) and, depending on category, a vehicle maintenance test and a practical driving test. The ministry site (md.gov.cz) did not give the exam details, so the sources are an ombudsman site and a motoring magazine. Confirm details with the authority.

Exam pattern

PartDetail
TheoryComputer-based, 25 questions, 50 points maximum
Pass mark43 points
Time30 minutes
Vehicle maintenancePractical test for categories C and D only
DrivingAt least 30 minutes with an examiner

A motoring magazine reports that the 25 questions are worth 2 points each for 16 of them, 1 point each for 6 and 4 points each for the 3 traffic-situation questions. Because a traffic-situation question costs 4 points, two such errors alone mean failing.
