Overview

Selor is the selection and recruitment office for jobs in federal, regional and community agencies and institutions in Belgium. Its selection tests are also marketed under the name Travaillerpour.be. The Brussels government lists its online services for candidates: browsing job offers, choosing a language test based on your profile, practising with sample tests, and registering with a Mon Selor or Mijn Selor account to apply and register for an online test.

Selor's own site was blocked by a bot check when this page was reviewed. The test names below come from a commercial preparation site, which lists separate test sets for levels A and B and for levels C and D. Confirm the tests for your post on the official site.

Exam pattern

Which tests you take depends on the post. Test types named for Selor selection include:

  • Verbal, numerical, abstract and spatial reasoning tests.

  • A situational judgement test.

  • A personality questionnaire.

  • An administrative aptitude test.

  • A planning aptitude test and an in-basket exercise.

  • A technical skills test for specific jobs.

  • A computerised language test.

How to apply

Register with Mon Selor or Mijn Selor using your electronic identity card, apply to a vacancy, and register for the online test where the post requires one.

Preparation tips

  • Use the official sample tests on the Selor site.

  • Practise timed reasoning tests on a computer.

Do all posts use the same tests?

No. The preparation site lists different test sets by level, and the tests you take depend on the post. Check the official site for yours.
