(III) (a) Alloys are homogeneous mixtures of two or more metals or a metal and a non-metal. Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc. It is prepared by heating a mixture of copper and zinc. OR (III) (b) Stainless steel is an alloy of iron, chromium and nickel. It is prepared by heating a mixture of iron, chromium and nickel.
