Every year, thousands of lives are lost on Indian roads due to careless and reckless driving. Overspeeding, jumping red lights, and driving under the influence of alcohol have become common causes of fatal accidents.
Traffic rules are made not to restrict our freedom but to protect our lives. Wearing seatbelts and helmets, maintaining lane discipline, and adhering to speed limits can drastically reduce the number of road mishaps. Unfortunately, many drivers ignore these simple precautions in a hurry to reach their destination, endangering themselves and others.
It is the responsibility of every citizen to drive responsibly and respect traffic signals. Schools, the media, and the government must continue to spread awareness about road safety through campaigns like 'Sadak Suraksha Jeevan Raksha'.
Safe driving is not just a rule; it is a way of saving precious lives.
